Mr Savage loves data and believes passionately in the need for a paradigm shift towards greater student agency and healthier student wellbeing; and he loves helping schools to join these dots. With an MA in English Language and Literature from Oxford University, he spread his leadership wings in the UK comprehensive sector, before going global in 2010. Most recently, he was Principal at the International Community School Amman (shortlisted for International School of the Year in both 2019 and 2020) and is now an internationally acclaimed educational consultant and trainer, providing bespoke training and consultancy to premium schools and school groups across the globe. As an Associate Consultant with LSC Education, he also supports school boards and school leaders worldwide.
Through his expertise in the use of student-level data, and his passion for a ‘wellbeing first’ and an ‘early years up’ approach to teaching and school leadership, Mr Savage has written and presented widely across the world on themonalisaeffect®, helping to ensure the available diagnostic and assessment tools best meet the holistic needs of the international and bilingual school student. He has also acquired a global voice on, and actively engages in constructive conversations worldwide about, child and adolescent mental health, wellbeing and involvement and belonging.
